The house across the house.

Once there was a little old house across the street and this house was a bit creepy it’s paint was scraped off of the side and was built in the built in the 1920’s-1930’s. In around mid march 2018 they demolished the house. It has been about 7 ½ months since they started.

The first step is finding the land you want. Step two is purchasing the property it might have a structure on it so you have to demolish it. In this case it did. Step 3 is you have to hire an architect to design the home and a general contractor to build it. Step 4 is to excavate the basement. Step 5 Pouring the foundation and forming the exterior walls and the floor.

Step 6 is framing. Step 6 is electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work done. Step 7 people come in and put in windows. Step 8 people put in the drywall. Step 9: Finishes are things like paint, counters, cabinets, lighting fixtures, plumbing fixtures (sinks toilets etc.) flooring (hardwood, tile, and carpet) and doors and door and cabinet pulls.

It is an awesome experience to see this project in progress. (I will tell you more details from purchase to move in in the next set of blogs.)
